De gasgestookte Clauscentrale van RWE/Essent in Maasbracht
De centrale is in 2014 stilgelegd en zal in 2020 weer beschikbaar zal zijn voor het electriciteitsnet. RWE is van plan om naast eenheid C een soortgelijke centrale te bouwen. De Clauscentrale in Maasbracht in Limburg is vernoemd naar Z.K.H. Prins Claus. Hij nam de centrale in 1978 officieel in gebruik. Claus C is een STEG-eenheid met één stoom- en verschillende gasturbines. Foto John Gundlach
